Responsibilities

LANE CLOSURES TECHNICIAN (LCT)
Our team is readily available to promptly close any of the required lanes that may be affected by any reason. From remote areas to prime intersections in the cities, we have the right resources at your service. Each resource of the team is vital for a successful road closure for smooth transitions and driver awareness.
TRAFFIC CONTROL PERSONS (TCP)
These person are trained to route traffic through a work zone, they take care of both the flow of traffic and safety of the workers. TCP always stand at the best suited location to control traffic through an area. If there is a communication gap between two TCPs and there is no means of AV communication, then a third TCP shall act as a relay between the two.
Lane Closure Service
At Karas, we have Lane Closure Vehicles which come with a Lane Closure Technician who assists in the work zone for the duration of the shift. These LCT might be two to three depending on the requirements. Karas also provides lane closure installation crews to assist in shutting down lanes and setting up signage for longer projects, or project that may not need Flagging throughout the day. Our Lane Techs are skilled at work zone set ups and work closely with the Traffic Management Planning department to install approved closures which help in routing traffic and keeping safety of all in mind.
PROJECT PLANNING & PERMITS
Karas group coordinates all levels of permits for all Cities, Municipalities, Districts and Ministry of Transportation jurisdictions. We understanding our clients are busy so we gladly will take on your project needs to deliver the proper paperwork by the estimated project dates. Some projects take longer to get approved than other simpler requests, please make sure the Karas team has sufficient notice to get your requests through the system and approved for your set scheduled date.
